CAR Magazine recently released a video featuring 2014 Nissan GT-R and Porsche 911 Turbo (991). When Nissan GT-R was introduced, they did the same comparison against Porsche 911 Turbo (997) and GT-R was quicker than 911 turbo in almost every stage. Nissan’s official figure for 0-62mph(100km/h) acceleration for the GT-R is 2.8 seconds and Porsche Turbo is 3.1 seconds. But in the video, GT-R lost against 911 Turbo… At a circuit, GT-R lost against the latest Turbo, too… But the crew at CAR Magazine concluded the video by hinting the real battle will be with NISMO GT-R. Yes, we understand that MY 2014 has become more refined and comfortable with it becoming more of a Grand Touring machine. But one of the biggest selling point was how “reasonable” the price had been set with comparison to Porsche 911 Turbo. Porsche, on the other hand, must’ve been so annoyed with the introduction of R35 and it is not hard to imagine that they would have worked so hard not to lose against GT-R. CAR Magazine is hinting a battle of NISMO GT-R and Porsche Turbo in the future. What catches our attention is the fact that NISMO GT-R has, actually, been priced slightly above Porsche Turbo… Even if NISMO GT-R turns out faster than Porsche Turbo… would you really be impressed? Well…  We shall soon find out イギリスのCAR Magazineが MY2014日産GT-Rと最新のポルシェ911ターボ対決の模様をYouTubeにアップしていました。R35デビュー時には旧型911ターボ対決をしたそうですが、その際は全ての対決項目で勝利！ところが最新版では・・・、GT-Rの全敗です。 メーカー公表の0→100㎞/h加速において日産GT-Rは最新の911ターボよりも速いはずなんですが・・・、負けてしまいます。サーキットバトルにおいても、ウェイトハンデ（911ターボよりも140㎏重たい）のせいか、負けてしまいます。 GT-Rのセールスポイントのひとつは、ポルシェ911ターボに数値的に勝りながらも価格は圧倒的に安い、ってところにあったと思うんです。ポルシェにしてみたら、どえらい厄介モノが登場したもんだ、と思ったことでしょうねぇ。きっと新型911ターボの開発においては、「絶対GT-Rに負けるな！」って言っていたはずです（笑）。 まぁ、見事、最新911ターボの勝利だったんですが、NISMO GT-Rなら結果は違うかも、なーんて思わせぶりなコメントで締めくくっています。っで、気になるのが、NISMO GT-Rの価格設定です。アメリカではポルシェ911ターボよりも、ほんの少し高い設定です。今までの抜群のコストパフォーマンスからの脱却なんでしょうけど、スポーツカーバイヤーにはどのように受け入れられるんでしょうねぇ？たとえ911ターボに勝ったとしても、消費者にどれだけ響くのか・・・。近いうちに答えが見えてくることでしょう。
