A new speed record for GT-R at UNLIMITED+500　Unlimited+500におけるGT-Rの記録更新

The 1,700hp+ Nissan GT-R Goliath by Switzer set a new top speed record in a 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) run for GT-Rs at the latest Moscow Unlimited 500+ racing event. According to the organizers, only two other vehicles have surpassed the 400km/h mark in a 1 mile run, a “Ford GT at 430km/h and a Chevrolet Camaro at 402km/h.

Switzer’s heavily modified, yet, street legal GT-R Goliath reached a speed of 402.23 km/h in 1 mile after just 22.602 seconds.

The Goliath was made for an unnamed client (likely from Russia) with Switzer stating the following about said car:

The car the client asked us to build had to be ‘for street use’, not just ‘street legal’. “The difference there is the difference between ‘comfortable’ and ‘tolerable’. He made it very clear that he expected this to be a ‘real car’ with full climate control, cruise control, sound system – all the amenities, in other words.

He also wanted the car to run a low 20-second ET at the Moscow Unlimited.

ロシアのUnlimited＋500という1マイル加速イベント、ホント熱心に動画をアップしますよねぇ。まるで洗脳のように、このイベントの凄さを刷り込まれている担当者です（笑）。10月13日に行われた1マイル加速イベントで、新たにGT-Rにおける1マイル加速最速記録が樹立されたようです。22.602秒、最高速402.23㎞/hですって。もう、何がなんだかよくわからない数値になっています。

ちなみにUnlimited+500での400㎞/hオーバーはフォードGTの430㎞/h、シボレーカマロの402㎞/hでGT-Rとしては初の400㎞/hオーバーとか。

Switzer（シュヴィッツァー）が手掛けたGoliath（ゴリアス）は最高出力1700馬力。オーナーからのリクエストは公道走行可能車両ではなく、ストリートカーのキャラクターを捨てずにUnlimited+500のイベントで20秒台を狙いたい、というリクエストだったそうです。“なんとか公道を走れる”ではなく、ちゃんと“足”として使えることが条件。具体的にはエアコンが使えて、オーディオが使えて、クルーズコントロールが使えて、という贅沢な要望（笑）。「幾らでもイイから、頼むよ！」って感じのオーダーなんでしょうねぇ・・・。

Nissan Patrol with modified R33 Skyline engine! 日産パトロールにR33の改造エンジンを載せる遊び

The guys from Bijou Motorsport have decided to fit an RB25GET from R33 Skyline into a Nissan Patrol(codenamed Y60 and built between 1987 and 1997)… Not much is known about the builder nor how it came to be, but the author of the videos tells us that the fourth generation Patrol had an engine transplant from a Nissan Skyline (probably the R33). We’re also not aware if the RB25DET engine is stock or not, but data shows that the 2.5-liter turbocharged straight-six produced from 245hp to 276hp (280PS), depending on the version. But it doesn’t sound bad.
Oh they, certainly, know how to have fun!

Well then, why do we not search for something else on YouTube, right? And we came across an R33 Skyline GT-R carrying 8.3V10 engine from Dodge Viper along with an R35 GT-R with… Lancer Evolution front bumper! lol

日産パトロールといえば、トヨタランドクルーザーと並んで日本であまり売れない、海外で重宝されているクロスカントリー車の重鎮です。ハッキリ言って、高級ブランドのSUVとは走りの格が違います（笑）。っで、そんなパトロール（Y60型）にR33スカイラインのRB25GETエンジンを搭載したのがブルガリアのBijou Motorsportです。情報はごくわずかしかなく、謎めいていますが、とにかく楽しそうです。

ならば、とエンジンスワップを検索していて出くわしたのがR33GT-Rにダッジバイパーのエンジンを搭載した、SKYPER！フェアレディZにGT-Rのエンジンとか・・・、よくあるパターンなので割愛します（笑）。

Nismo Concept Watch is one cool looking smartwatch! フランクフルトモーターショーで発表される、ニスモコンセプトウォッチ

Nissan’s new concept smartwatch aims to help with by sending an array of data from your car directly to your wrist. It also monitors your own body’s performance. The Nismo Concept Watch, set to bow at the Frankfurt Motor Show later this week, has a variety of functions adapted from technology used to monitor the performance of Nismo racing drivers who compete in the the FIA GT and Blancpain Endurance Series.

Strap the Nismo Concept Watch onto your wrist and it sends you information about your car’s average speed and fuel economy, your performance data while on the track, your biometric data so fatigue can be identified early on, and potential road hazards or mechanical issues with the vehicle. And if you’re one of those people who likes to broadcast your entire life on social media, the smartwatch will also track and rate your performance across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and even Pinterest.

No word yet on production plans, however.

フランクフルトモーターショーで発表される、スマートウォッチに注目です。「ニスモ・コンセプト・ウォッチ」の名前で発表されるスマートウォッチ、車とドライバーの一体感を高めてくれる内容なんです。FIA GT選手権、ブランパン耐久シリーズなど実践からのフィードバックを受けて開発されたものだそうです。

車の平均スピード、燃費、サーキット走行なら一式のデータ、そしてドライバー自身の心拍数などが記録され、スマートウォッチに表示させることができるんです。あっ、ちなみにスマートウォッチからFacebook, Twitter, Instagram そしてPinterest.といったSNSへの投稿も、もちろん可能だそうです。詳しくはフランクフルトモーターショーでデビュー後、色んなメディアが取り上げることになるでしょうねぇ。発売されることに期待大！

Next generation Maxima? New sport sedan using GT-R components? 新型マキシマなのか、GT-R譲りの新型スポーツセダンなのか？

Nissan likes to think of Maxima as a “four-door sports car”, despite its front-wheel drive setup complete a CVT. Hollywoodextra has featured an article on a recent Nissan event which showed this amazing looking sedan. They appear to show a four-door sedan closely inspired by the profile of the GT-R with crisp sidelines and a fastback rear end.

In the second photo we see a front fascia that departs from that GT-R styling and borrows heavily from the Resonance concept from this year’s Detroit Auto Show. And they seem to think this sporty sedan concept rendering become the next-gen Maxima. We have no information on this matter but how cool would it be if they used the components of a GT-R on a new sport sedan?

The world is filled with sport sedans now days even Porsche and Aston Martin build their versions of sedans… why can’t Nissan make a real sport sedan using the components of a GT-R? It may be a wishful thinking but we can dream, can’t we?

日産がアメリカでプレス向けのイベントを開催したようですが、そこで登場した1台の車のスケッチが話題になっています。Hollywoodextra　によると、次世代マキシマではないか、とのことです。

なぜ話題になっているか？Aピラーからルーフラインをご覧頂ければ、GT-R譲りなことが伺えるからです。マキシマは4ドアスポーツカー（4DSC）を謳っていますがFFでCVTという・・・、失礼ながら、フツーのセダンなんです（笑）。

ここいらで大きくイメージチェンジを図るつもりなのか、GT－R譲りのスタイル投入？とはいえマキシマはマイナーチェンジしたばかりで、このスケッチの車両は2014年デトロイトで発表され、生産は2015年では、と噂されています。

何 の情報もありませんが、個人的にはGT-Rのコンポーネンツを他車で利用しない手はない、と思っています。マキシマでもイイですけど、これだけ4ドアス ポーツセダンが世間に受け入れられていることを鑑みれば、GT-Rセダン（名称はどうであれ）の投入があってもオカシくはないですよね。まぁ、商売的にど うなのか、が重要でしょうけど・・・。
