Some of you have already seen the new film, Elysium. The story takes place in year 2154. The preview can be seen on YouTube and we found something interesting.

A Bugatti seems quite futuristic, convincing enough to be in 2154.

But will R35 last 140 years? As much as I love R35… I somehow doubt it very much. Lol

It is an interesting product placement, none the less.

9月20日から上映される映画「エリジウム」。舞台は2154年の貧困層が集まる地球、そして上流階級だけが住む「エリジウム」とに分かれるんです。とまぁ、予告編をご覧頂ければ分かるのですが・・・、気になることが一つ。

2154年にR35がいるんです（笑）。いくら耐久性が高いとはいえ、140年後に現役として活躍するのは無理があるような気がしてなりません。

ブガッティは2154年にふさわしい、未来的なデザインの車を投入しているのに・・・。

どういう意図か分かりませんが、まぁ映画に投入されるんですから何らかのタイアップなんでしょう。140年後の世界に存続するR35・・・、納得は行きませんが、面白いです。

Nissan’s new concept smartwatch aims to help with by sending an array of data from your car directly to your wrist. It also monitors your own body’s performance. The Nismo Concept Watch, set to bow at the Frankfurt Motor Show later this week, has a variety of functions adapted from technology used to monitor the performance of Nismo racing drivers who compete in the the FIA GT and Blancpain Endurance Series.

Strap the Nismo Concept Watch onto your wrist and it sends you information about your car’s average speed and fuel economy, your performance data while on the track, your biometric data so fatigue can be identified early on, and potential road hazards or mechanical issues with the vehicle. And if you’re one of those people who likes to broadcast your entire life on social media, the smartwatch will also track and rate your performance across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and even Pinterest.

No word yet on production plans, however.

フランクフルトモーターショーで発表される、スマートウォッチに注目です。「ニスモ・コンセプト・ウォッチ」の名前で発表されるスマートウォッチ、車とドライバーの一体感を高めてくれる内容なんです。FIA GT選手権、ブランパン耐久シリーズなど実践からのフィードバックを受けて開発されたものだそうです。

車の平均スピード、燃費、サーキット走行なら一式のデータ、そしてドライバー自身の心拍数などが記録され、スマートウォッチに表示させることができるんです。あっ、ちなみにスマートウォッチからFacebook, Twitter, Instagram そしてPinterest.といったSNSへの投稿も、もちろん可能だそうです。詳しくはフランクフルトモーターショーでデビュー後、色んなメディアが取り上げることになるでしょうねぇ。発売されることに期待大！

New world record for GT-R… 0-300km/h加速11.56秒！

It’s quite ironic to think that when Nissan introduced GT-R, they did everything they could to prevent people from tuning it. They wanted to make GT-R different, give it more luxurious positioning, from that of Skyline GT-R. However, as time has proven, the Nissan GT-R has become one of the world’s most popular supercars to modify.

During a recent run at an MLR event, the 1400hp Nissan GT-R modified by Severn Valley Motorsport managed to hit an incredible 380.84km/h in just one mile… Consequently, the car completed the standing mile in just 22.42.

It’s worth mentioning that a 1700hp Nissan GT-R, AMS Alpha12, in Russia recently completed the standing mile at a top speed of 382km/h. However, to Severn Valley Motorsport’s credit, their GT-R did reach 300km/h in a mere 11.56 seconds making it almost 1 second faster to that mark than the aforementioned 1700hp GT-R!

GT-Rデビュー時、日産はGT-Rをチューニングさせまいと頑張ったことが記憶に新しいです。スカイラインGT-Rとは違い、GT-Rは高級路線で攻めたかったんでしょうねぇ。ところがどっこい、チューニング対象として今まで以上にもてはやされています（笑）。

つい先日、ロシアのドラッグレースでAMS Alpha12が世界最速記録を樹立したばかりですが・・・

MLR（メジャー・リーグ・レーシング？）イベントで、サバーン・バリー・モータースポーツが新たな世界最速記録を樹立したんです。いやはや、凄い記録ですわ。

最高出力1400psにチューニングされたサバーン・バリー・モータースポーツ車両、最高速度380.84km/hを1マイルで達成し、1マイル加速は22.42秒だったそうです。

ちなみにAlpha12は1マイル加速で到達した最高速度は382km/h。サバーン・バリー・モータースポーツの凄い点は300㎞/hに達するまでに要した時間は11.56秒で、Alpha12よりも約1秒速いんです。

それにしても・・・、恐るべしGT-Rです。

Every luxury sport car needs their branded bikes? ! 高級スポーツカーに欠かせないのは自転車？！

It is fair to say that Nissan tried to transform the image of R35 GT-R from that of previous Skyline GT-R series. As far as I’m aware, Nissan tried to discourage people from tuning R35 by stating in warranty that if the car is modified, Nissan, basically, would void its warranty. But many people didn’t care what Nissan said and went ahead and tuned their R35. As we’ve seen on YouTube and what have you, many of them with impressive performance.

I had been pondering upon the reason for Nissan’s failure to place R35 as luxury sport car such as Porsche 911. Nissan tried to transform dealerships into GT-R exclusive salon-like shops… but many franchise owners didn’t follow through. Sales staff were never used to selling expensive luxury sport cars anyway… And I noticed one thing… Many luxury sport car brands offer bicycles but Nissan doesn’t!

But I came across this hybrid bike called “GT-R”… even the logo looks familiar… And as you can guess, this bike has nothing to do with Nissan GT-R…lol

日産はGT-RでスカイラインGT-Rとは一線を画すつもりだったのだと、思っています。ぶっちゃけチューニングして欲しくなかったからこそ、あそこまでうるさく保証書に改造禁止を謳ったのではないでしょうか？つまり、チューニングカーのベース車になるのではなく、ポルシェ911のような愛され方（もちろん、チューニングする人も居ますけど・・・）を望んでいた？！

でも、結果的にR35はポルシェ911のようなステイタスは得られていないような気がしてなりません。女性がエルメスのバーキンやケリーにひれ伏すような効力・・・、GT-Rにはありません。まぁ、そういう点では、最近は車が凄いからどうのこうのはないでしょうね（笑）。っで、冷静に高級スポーツカーブランドと日産GT-Rを考えて・・・、一つ決定的な違いを見出したんです。それは・・・、「自転車」です。

GT-Rには、日産には、自転車がないんです。っで、検索してみたら「ハイブリッドフル電動自転車GTR」なるものに遭遇（笑）。イイんですかねぇ、ココまでロゴが一緒で？特許庁の商標登録を確認すると自転車もGTRの商標に含まれているのでNGっぽいんですが、R35の存在を脅かすようなものではないから、日産は静観？

ってなわけで、R35高級スポーツカー論から小ネタでした（笑）。
